We are looking for suitable candidates in the following areas of expertise.

Linux/Embedded Programming – Software Engineering / Computer Science for VR

Job description

  • Looking for an experienced software developer for a full time contract (min 3 months but likely extended to 6 month contract)
  • Great central location working in inner city / fortitude valley area in Brisbane (600m from Fortitude Valley train station)
  • Cutting edge software development on custom built embedded hardware for new VR product
  • Work with a small world class team
  • The role will include OS setup and roll-out design and scripts as well as low level driver coding
  • Specific duties include (please respond to each of these points in your application with specific experience and examples of what you have worked on in these areas):
    • Embedded Linux OS setup
    • SPI flash images for kernel for embedded hardware – intel quark experience highly valued, etc
    • Development low level drivers (PCIe, USB)
    • Development of configuration GUI utils
    • Networking setup, driver development, low level configuration of WiFi devices

Xilinx FPGA Developer / Experience with Matlab System Generator

Job description

  • Looking for an experienced FPGA developer for a full-time contract (min 3 months but likely extended to 6-month contract)
  • Great central location working in inner city / fortitude valley area in Brisbane (600m from Fortitude Valley train station)
  • Cutting edge FPGA development on custom built embedded hardware for new VR product
  • Work with a small world class team
  • The role will include FPGA configuration and some System Generator (Matlab) coding and synthesis to FPGA binaries
  • Specific duties include (please respond to each of these points in your application with specific experience and examples of what you have worked on in these areas):
    • Testing custom PCB with electronics hardware staff;
    • Configure FPGA IO (Gigabit transceivers for HDMI, USB, SPI) and running testing scenarios for each of these
    • Development and testing of memory buffering structures from System Generator into the FPGA fabric (for example, given a high-speed input from the GB transceiver how do you buffer this correctly)
    • Later developments include implementation of drivers for some devices in FPGA (eg: connecting a PCIe device directly to the FPGA)
    • Xilinx Artix 7 experience desirable
    • Experience with image processing on FPGAs desirable
